Colours - Good Enough to Eat!

Japanese Linen - New colours arrived!
Liberty Bias Binding -  Nine new bindings have been added to the collection this week. (including the six shown above.)
The hexagon footstool I am making with one inch hexies has consumed me this week. Choosing just the right design with just the right amount of colour for a particular position is my idea of a fun night at the moment. Customers have been admiring the varied selection.
So I have made hexagon packs using a co-ordinated selection of Liberty's from my stash. Packs contain 21 different designs which will make three flowers. (Above is a little sneak peak of 7 hexies from the packs). Traditionally the centres were yellow so I have included 3 yellows in each pack.

Happiness is..............

A super cool, extremely fun plus ultra cheeky Japanese Novelty Print fabric of cute cars and automobiles doing all sorts of wonderful wheelies and things........
This print is a classic for boys and will transcend time as so many of the Japanese novelty prints do. In two amazing colours that are both as equally mind blowing as each other...... (Almost unheard of!)
Printed on a slightly heavier weight, natural, sturdy Japanese base cloth.
Composition 80%Cotton 20% Linen. This cloth is so good to sew it does exactly what its told to do.....(Love that!)
I look for prints like these all the time......... so Yay! Plus we have also received a great selection of co-ordinates that work back in a comprehensive range of colours and textures. There are so many colours to choose from so making fat packs will be easy peasy and fun for girls!
Liberty's little Lego garden had to get involved.....
So if you haven't already grabbed your bag and run out the door I think you should, broom, broom, put, put and get on down our way today for a piece of this timeless car classic!

For the Liberty Lovers we have increased our range of Liberty Bindings and sticky tape, including Bias and tape in the ever popular Mauvey is now back in stock....

Hexagons Again - precut packs now available!

I haven't been able to stop myself, I think I'm a bit addicted...... Making these cute little Liberty hexagons from a combination of my collected vintage and also new season Liberty tana lawns. I feel like I am immortalizing each Liberty fabric by making a hexagon in its honor.
Liberty Hexagon precut packs are now available at Materialise. Each pack contains 21 different hexagons that have been professionally cut.
I am recovering this cute 1950's foot stool with cute bakelite legs. I thought an eclectic mix of cool and retro Liberty's would suit this little guy perfectly. I'm going to make a pull on slip cover that can be removed when it needs a wash.
I want this little stool to be a bit of a "piece" in my living room so I have pulled out some really cute designs that I have been saving. Like this cute little butterfly..... I am still sewing my hexagons around the papers because I am not making too many, however most people making quilts are gluing the fabric around the paper which saves time.
These 1 inch hexagons are great because you can cut the hexie out of a true scrap of fabric that is quite small, utilizing your scraps to the fullest.
You can see how these old Liberty's mix beautifully with the new season Liberty we have in the store. So if you have some old Liberty scraps you have been wanting to use pull them out and come and grab a couple of our precut Liberty Hexagon packs and some papers and start a project that works for you.
