This week I had a fun class with 2 lovely young girls, Juliet & Laura, who came in with their Grandma and made these superb cushions for fun...

 Shelby also tested out my floor cushion technique and pieced together this pretty pillow.

Ages & ages ago I made this Liberty strippy quilt top. it's been waiting in the wings to be quilted like so many others....

Liberty really needed a warm quilt for the winter so I recently finished it. I wanted the quilt to be really soft and warm so I used the beautiful wool wadding that we stock at the shop because it is light and warm. I hand quilted with a naive running stitch using Aurifil cotton (red spool) which is a slightly thicker thread....

It just feels really lovely and soft and is super warm.... I think this picture says it all. Love.

This week I got spurred on to complete this little Liberty quilt for the shop using the wool wadding and aurifil thread.

This quilt will be in the shop as a sample for customers to see how gorgeous and soft the quilt has become with the wadding and hand quilting

New patterns and new books have also arrived into the store. Including this very cute, long sleeved dress for little girls..... Also has a sleeveless option.

Last week I made these cute & comfy Liberty pants for my little girl. 

The pattern so you can make these pants will be available soon in the store in 3 sizes. The Liberty print used will be back in stock later in the week.

Over the weekend I had a bit of a play and pulled out these fabrics to make some nice big floor cushions for my house. Yay for Me & Berty!!!! being floor cushions I don't want to use too many light fabrics and also I've vibing a bit of black with some eye cathcing colour...

 I am going to replicate these large cushions made for my nephews and niece in the Liberty fabrics above.... Yum they will feel so so nice

I'm in the beginning phase of decorating my little girls bedroom. Over the years I have travelled around and collected many fabrics which I one day thought I might use in a nursery. This gorgeous little naive picture of ducks printed on a natural linen is an absolute gem! I bought this fabric in downtown New York over 6 years ago and have finally done something with it. 

My theme for the bedroom is "Animale Carnivale" so I intend to use an interesting array of creatures for Liberty to enjoy so I have used these beautiful fabrics from my stash to make some canvases for the walls. In doing so I have also made a collection for the shop including these cute chickens!

From this picture "On the Farm". Come in and check them out. (as you know wall space is limited) so when you walk in, turn and look up, they are above the door and windows...

Here is a cute picture of my little cherub Liberty Violet. She started walking this week and almost blends in with Lizzet's Liberty quilt on the bed.

 Sally & Sophie came in to show me their magnificent quilt. Sally made this masterpiece for her daughter Sophie, who chose all the fabrics. Sally started by stripping all her favourite combo's of colours and then cut these into large blocks. So simple yet so effective.

 Here Sally lovingly strokes the quilt she has made her daughter.

 Susie also came in to slect the borders for this stunning wedding quilt she is making as a wedding gift. 

 Here Susan has used the Tree of Life as a central theme. Pieced mostly using Liberty fabrics however she has also added a cool array of spots and other co-ordinates to bring each central theme to life & tell her story...

These very popular and very versatile linens came back into stock this week with the addition of a couple of new colours

Large floor cushion inserts are also available 85x85cms with a 20cm gusset. Made from recycled drink bottles.... Crazy i know but these inserts stay really plump and don't flatten down.. We also have regular cushion inserts in stock.

 Hilda has been extremely busy making quilts for the shop and surprised me with this beautiful, fun and fresh quilt this week. Hilda used new fabrics that just arrived at Materialise and we featured on our last post...
