Gorgeous New Spring Colours

Materialise is now stocking a comprehensive colour range of the beautifully soft and sumptuous Couture Cotton by Michael Miller. 

 Couture Cotton is a stunning plain with a wonderful texture and clean colours that are current. 

 The Couture works beautifully with the Liberty Tana Lawn so if you have been wanting to combine your Liberty with a fabulous plain in a great range of colours then look no further.

This funky print by Tula Pink arrived this week. 

We also have the new plain Linens by Amy Butler. This light weight linen is a great weight and will be perfect for little girls smock tops and shorts etc. 

 Remember this fresh and fun print by Anna Maria Horner.....? Back in the store by popular demand in a regular patchwork cotton fabric. It's a great price and would make a fabulous backing fabric. 

 These thick and cuddly yarn dyed flannels are also perfect for a quilt backing. Loralie recently backed a Liberty quilt for her young nephew. The quilt is bound for Boston so it will be perfect. 

The fabric on the right is a pure wool blanketing perfect for babies. Available now in off white. 

New Liberty at Materialise. Lovely but Limited!!!

We have just had a new drop of lovely Liberty fabrics into the store.

 These designs are limited so they cannot be repeated on, so once they have sold out they will be gone.

 I love them all but my top pick is the lime green glenjade which I haven't seen around in forever...

Exciting news for all the peeps that were keen as mustard to buy the soft terry toweling we use on the back of our little Liberty bibs. We now have this fabric in stock so come in and grab some while stocks last!

New Japanese fabrics that just arrived (first two fabrics from the left) is a beautifully soft double gauze in a plain melange style grey and this soft delicate grey check. Third fabric is a lovely slub style linen blend in a natural linen colour. Middle fabric is a plain linen gauze and the other three fabrics are some ever popular classics that people always love!

If you have been in the shop in the past few months you may have seen Loralie and I working on this spectacular Liberty quilt. 

Loralie collected the Liberty fabrics over many beloved visits to the Liberty store in London. 

 We added new Liberty pieces in colours that we felt were necessary to create the overall look and style that Loralie wanted to achieve. 

 This is the back of the quilt all pieced with an amazing selection of even more Liberty fabric. 

New Liberty's Arrive at Materialise

We love these soft gorgeous new Liberty colours that just came into the shop. Very gelato! Yum.

This picture features two new Classic designs plus a new colourway of Emma and Georgina. 

Liberty has re-introduced Capel in the mustard yellow colourway which is always a winner and works beautifully with this new Bourton (paisley at bottom) and Louis in navy.

Love the Freshness of Spring at Materialise

Gorgeous new colours in more of your favourite classic designs have also arrived. We got a large delivery this week of new Classics which included a large selection of gorgeous blues....

Danielle felt inspired last week and whipped up this fresh, fun and funky Liberty boho quilt using a great selection of new and vintage Liberty's from her stash. She chose to machine quilt using Aurifil in the 50wt, which was perfect for the job. Come in and see this fantastic quilt which is in the store...

Danielle backed her soft, silky Liberty quilt with a Japanese brushed cotton by Nani Iro for Kokka. The quilt has that beautiful quilty puff because she used our high loft pure wool wadding that is light and fluffy and machine washable.... Quilty Goodness. Yummmmmmmm 

New at Materialise

We have had some great new Liberty arrivals this week.....

Painters Meadow (shown above) is a cotton jersey. This design is from the up and coming SS 2016 Collection called 'The Artist'. This is the first time we have stocked this amazing knit fabric. I made a top in it this week and it looks amazing.

On display on the back wall in the store we now have a stunning length of this velvet from the Liberty Interiors range of upholstery fabrics.  Come in to see and feel the drape of this exquisite fabric first hand. 

This rich Liberty design is called Prince George and it is the Lantana Wool which is 80% cotton and 20% wool. The drape of this cloth is superb and it is a beautiful weight for clothing. 

Speckled Clouds is a design also from 'The Artist'. This fabrication is a stretch denim which is a beautiful soft cotton with 2% elastane. This would make great shorts, skirts or pants, even a cool jacket would look fab!. 

The above design is The Cadbys and it is has been extremely popular in the tana lawn. We now have it in the Rossmore Cord which is super fine, super soft to the touch. It would make beautiful clothing and would also be fantastic on the back of a quilt. 

We also have some lovely tana lawn that has arrived into the store. This whimsical fairy in the yellow is the most amazing colour. 

This tana lawn design is called Rachel and is one of the new Classic designs just released. 

These stunning horses are also back in the store by popular demand. Hurry in because they don't linger long.
